Here in the desert southwest, our yard is coming to life as well. Chocolate flower is blooming and yes, the yellow flowers with the brown centers really do smell like melted chocolate! My three little citrus trees are blooming and I like to leave the window open by the kitchen to catch the fresh, sweet scent. The roses (in pots as our soil is dreadful) are budding but I must make a dish soap spray solution (I hate using pesticides)and go after the thrips that are chewing up the flower petals. Spring is here and I'm excited about it, too. Your daffodils are absolutely lovely- I miss growing those.
Oh, so after the snow you got daffodils? Isn't that exciting!! They still haven't shown up around here but at least the weather is warm that we have been on the beach for the most part of the last few days, which is unprecedented for Norway!
I love being outside, looking for hop shoots and admiring the peach blossoms :-)
Oh Taryn, how I would love to have flowers in my house...my husband thinks they give him hayfever.Watching the seeds I have planted poking their heads up through the earth, and the amazing blossoms that look so beautiful bring me much cheer.xxx
Here is North Ga. it's amazingly beautiful right now! Redbuds, Dogwoods, azaleas, Iris, Tulips. All in full bloom. Just beautiful. I have been planting my garden since the beginning of March now. I love seeing all the little seedlings popping up all over. And we just had twin goat kids born about noon today!! A little doeling and a beautiful spotted buckling. We are all done now except for one ewe to lamb in a few months. So 1 ewe lamb and 3 ram lambs and 2 doelings and a buckling!! I read your posts all the time but haven't commented in awhile. Your pictures are amazing! Thanks so much for sharing them.
So wonder-full flowers! In spring a like flowers and the many birthes of little sheep, goats chickens...
Oh those are so cheerful!!I love fresh flowers in the house. Currently we have hyacinth in the house which is one of my all-time favorite scents in the world. THAT'S bringing cheer! As is the incredible warm weather, going barefoot, wearing shorts, having blooming paperwhites in the house, and hearing the birds be so happy outside with their song! Also, seeing all the crabapples and cherries blooming around the city! LOVE LOVE LOVE!Lindsey~
