Andrea K's handknit sweater (that she made specially for a friend), finished with one of our buttons in reclaimed western red cedar. She wrote:
"I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I love the buttons I ordered! They arrived a couple of days ago, just in time for me to finish the sweater I'm knitting for a friend in Newfoundland. This cedar one was always designated for this sweater and the others a bonus for my stash until I can find them homes on other knitted things :) I love the unique shape of them and how lovely they feel—also this is going to make me sound a bit eccentric, but I love the smell! Almost the first thing I did when I opened the envelope was bring the cedar one to my nose.
So you know, this button is going to live with a wonderful girlfriend of mine who just moved back to her hometown. I miss her so I thought I'd knit this sweater with the hearts and X's O's in the cable. Nothing says I miss you like a cuddly wool sweater, lol. She's going to just LOVE the unique button you've made!
I hope to own many more of your buttons in the future!!"
Helena, of Leaves and Blossoms Blog, completed her handspun and handknit sweater with a set of our yew wood buttons with carved trees in them. She said:
"I have to say the quality of your buttons inspired me to push my perceived abilities a bit, and I'm so glad I did, colour pattern work isn't something for someone else now."
