This past week I've felt grateful for:
-A bath for Bracken in the kitchen sink. He has only had a few of these since he's been born (baths in the sink that is, not baths in general) and I'm savoring it because he is getting big so fast and won't fit in that sink for long!
-
-Surrendering to a nap that magically transformed tiredness and grouchiness into revitalization, inspiration, and calm peace.
-
-Looking out the window to catch a moment of Jeff and Bracken laying in the grass near the garden, while Jeff sang to him.
-
-Getting Jeff a new pair of shoes thanks to a wonderful return customer. (His old pair that he's practically worn since I met him, came from a thrift store and had more holes than shoe. Now his favorite pair of pants have more holes than pant and are beyond mending, so new pants are up next!)
-
-Loving A few words of wisdom, from Lindsey at Herbangardener.
At market yesterday, I felt grateful for:
-Jeff having the inspiration to take an alternative route when there was road construction on the bridge. (If he hadn't, we would have been late.)
-
-Setup flowing so easily and smoothly.
-Bringing a market basket (my market bag strap broke for the up-teenth time) and realizing that a basket was able to carry a whole lot more, a whole lot more easily. (Plus it looked so beautiful all filled up!)
-
-Gorgeous weather. Good sales. Seeing friends. Friendly customers. Appreciation by admirers in our booth.
-Wonderful trades to fill up that market basket!
-
-The surprise of seeing cherries at farmer's market. I had called farms last week to inquire about cherries and they said it was a late year and they wouldn't be ready for picking until after July 4th. The ones at market were an early variety so we were very excited, and enjoyed eating some.
-My cousin Becky visiting us at market, with her sweet friend Stephanie. Becky's been living in Japan with her husband, teaching, and came back to the U.S. for a visit during her summer break.
-
-Allergies vanishing when we returned home. I sometimes get allergies in Eugene, but as soon as we head back towards the coast, I feel great again.
-
-Before falling asleep after a long day, looking over at Jeff and Bracken next to me and being so grateful I get to spend my life with them. Grateful they know who I really am, right into my heart, and love me completely. I adore those boys.
And Today:
-I'm grateful for the incredible breakfast we had. Maple bacon (from pastured pigs at Deck Family Farm.) Scrambled egg yolks (from pastured hens at Deck Family Farm) with farmer's market morel mushrooms, sauteed in garlic and duck fat. Broccoli (from Sweet Leaf Farm) drizzled with bacon fat. Ginger Nettle Elderberry Kombucha (from Oak Barrel Kombucha.) Farmer's market strawberries and cherries. I savored every bite and I'm so grateful for the local abundance of good food!
-
-A conversation with my mom that was so comforting to my Spirit. I'm so grateful for her constant support and love. It feels good to be loved!
-
-The sun shining and the garden calling to me!

I saw your comment at CAF and came over to check out your blog. I like the idea of Gratitude Sunday and may be adding it to my blog as well.

Love your grateful Sundays! Those morels look fantastic (and that breakfast made my mouth water haha!).
Thank you for your wonderful comment on my last blog post. We are beyond thrilled and it felt so incredibly grateful to see such happy responses to our news... thanks again.
I need to visit soon! My friend from Michigan is visiting town and REALLY wanted to go to market but alas, we were on the coast for the weekend and didn't make it home on time. But I promise I will visit soon... I'm having market withdrawal. :)
Hi Taryn! Your Gratitude Sundays inspired me to create a gratitude post of my own (for today's "Wordless Wednesday").
