Throughout the week I've felt grateful for:

...Jeff surprising us in the morning with baked apples. I had forgotten how delicious they are.
.
...When you make a decision and so many things seem to sing that you made the right choice.
.
...Getting good exercise from all the wood hauling. I didn't feel excited about going to get more firewood each time, but as soon as I was outside breathing the crisp air and moving my body, it felt great.
.
...Hearing Jeff and Bracken laughing and playing together. Music to my ears.
.
...Home time.
.
...The fact that Jeff has the kind of spirit that still cracks jokes, even if he's not feeling well.
.
...Hearing when water was leaking outside and having Jeff be able to turn it off. Luckily, it was not a big deal and will be an easy fix. (We had water running in our house constantly, we didn't want our pipes to freeze! But that pipe outside wasn't protected enough.)
.
...Seeing a gift that I made for a friend that's been getting lots of use and being very appreciated.
.
...Getting a bit better about asking for help when I need it and learning to accept it more easily. What a gift. Everything is so much easier when you have help.
.
...Little boys playing in the snow together. Making snowballs, raking the snow (who knew?), and going on snowy wagon rides.
.
...That Jeff got up every night (sometimes more than twice) to keep the fire going in the woodstove. (When we got home the previous Saturday night from market and hadn't had a fire all day, the house was freezing. We literally wore wool hats and sweaters to bed, even with the heater going in our bedroom. So it felt wonderful to have our house warm all week.)
.
...A good deal on a cord of firewood from a local guy, when we were nearly out (already!)
.
...Finding out a local store had something we wanted so we didn't have to buy it online and pay for shipping.
.
...Bracken putting on my socks and having them go up past his knees. Cutie pie.
.
...Good talks with friends.
.
...The exhale at the end of the day.
.
...Our car starting up this morning. (We left a door open and the light was on all night.)
